Brain Therapy

Brain Therapy is a fascinating therapy that I am just beginning to learn. I have listed below some of the issues which it can help, but as a beginner in the technique, I don't have all of the tools available in this therapy yet. You can refer to the national listings of therapists to find someone with more training if you feel this therapy could help you, but you'd like someone with more training.

Brain Therapy is one of the few manual techniques that directly addresses specific structures of the brain and spinal cord, such as thalamus, pituitary, hypothalamus, caudate nucleus, hippocampus, amygdala, corpus callosum, cortex, cranial nerves nuclei, etc...The work uses specific techniques to release brain-centered restrictions as well as the damaging effects that these restrictions cause.

This technique can probably help most clients, but it can specifically help any brain and spinal related pathologies including:

  • Closed head injury
  • Whiplash
  • Headaches
  • Dyslexia
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Cognitive behavioral dysfunctions
  • Learning disabilities
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease
  • Dementia

There is a chance that you will have short term side effects from the technique. Slight headaches (due to stretch of meninges) or a "zombie" state as your brain "reboots". I will be very cautious to not overwork you, but be aware that you may need to be more cautious driving home, even taking a short walk or sitting quietly for a bit after the session. Drinking water can help with the process.

Contraindications to the work would be:

  • Acute infections/fever
  • Serious circulatory problems
  • Hemorrhage concerns (blood thinning medication)
  • Malignant ailments
  • Pregnancy (due to changes that can be caused in the body there is an hypothetical risk of miscarriage)
